Methanol Recovery (Vaccum)

Read up a little on Stills.
You want to build the condensor part of a still.

Ethanol and Methanol are both alcohols, so this should work out.
You need a vessel to contain your diesel, a vacuum pump, and this condensor...
Fill your vessel, attach the input of the vacuum pump to the vessel and apply heat to your vessel. Attach the condensor to the output of the vacuum pump, and the condensor should produce methanol.
The vacuum pump reduces the heat necessary to boil out the methanol as the high altitude makes boiling water take less heat.
Where did you get your vacuum pump?
