Sweedesboro doesn't have much, you're kind iof in the middle of nowhere.
But here are some area attractions: (I made the text hyperlinks to the locations so it is easy for you to find the stuff)
Cape May the Lobster House is an excellent Restaurant. And there is a few nice places to stroll around. The women like Cape May, lots of Victorian houses and nice places to walk around.
You can go into Philadelphia and see the liberty bell and then go to Geno's Steaks for a real South Philly CheeseSteak. Then end the evening on South Street, there is definately some good sights there.
You can try your luck in Atlantic City. The Borgata is a nice place to go, the Borgata Babes are SWEET!!!!! While you're in Atlantic City, you gotta see Lucy the Elephant, just because it is there.
Enjoy,
Jim

I will see in a week or two just what my schedual is like.
I still would not mind meeting up maybe for a evening brew or dinner though.

Well I made it, wow what a drive, I really enjoyed it, Traffic was not as bad as i thought it would be. Lots and lots of hills and woods plus some great views... I really need to do this again when I can really take some time out to check out this area.
Anyways I gotta all day training session tomorrow so I am not sure when I will get free, hopefully I will have some time to do some site seeing.
Oh yea guess whats the first thing I see when I turn on the TV .......
The Sopranos with the NJ sign in the back ground....An omen maybe? lol

Englishtown is about a 2 hour drive--maybe shorter--from Swedesboro to the entrance. FWIW, you're right there by Exit 2 of the NJ Turnpike, and I think it's Exit 8 you would get off at.
If you take Route 322 East, you'll find your way to Route 55 and a way to Cape May and other shore points. The AC Expressway can be a pain to get to from Swedesboro though.
You can always pull into Philly, and check out the sites, but in all honesty, the food is where it's at. Try and get to the Walt Whitman Bridge (Take Route 295 North and just follow the signs...maybe 25 minutes) OR take Route 322 West into PA, and head North on I-95 to that general area where the Walt Whitman Bridge is. You'll pass the sports complex, airport and I think a new slots casino, but if you get off at Oregon Avenue (South Philly) you'll find a place underneathe of I-95 called Tony Luke's. Get one of their roast pork sandwiches with broccolli rab and sharp provolone. If you eat one of them, you'll buy a vacation home in South Philly before the end of the summer...it's that good. Best cheesesteaks around in my opinion too.
On the way (if you take the 322 to 95 route) you'll pass all of the stadiums, like I mentioned. The Phils are on a streak right now, the weather is nice, and general admission is $12. The Citizen's Bank Park just got ranked for some of the best ball-park fare in the country too.
Are you trying to see anything in particular, or just the area in general?
