Hard to change coil pack...???

Not quite that old. My first fond memories were from my dad's '69 Chevy pickup. Straight 6 with 3 on three tree and 2WD longbed. He then bought a '79 GMC Jimmy new. 350 with the 4spd. I loved that creeper low. You could pull out from a stop without throttle. I used to steal that truck when I was 15 or so and go 4 wheeling.
My brother is meiculous about his vehicles. He bought a '90 Blazer fullsize. He had it since new and now it has about 80k miles and not a scratch on it.
I grew up a hardcore Chevy fan but I'm giving Fords a chance because the wife loves 'em.

I have that EXACT same GMC truck. I am looking for a replacement carburetor for it. It seems that to send it off to have it rebuilt, will cost me more than if I could figure out what type of carburetor will replace it.

First, Newbie - check out the following post, it includes EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CHANGING Coil on Plugs (COPS):
www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting.php
Seriously, check it out - it will help you.
2. Coil Packs are on many cars like SAAB, GM (Government Motors), etc... Easy as they are, they still need tools...
3. Chill out sucker.
4. Read #1 above and go to the site and let us know what you think
5. Try another site next time...

Why is it so difficult for folks to put that info in their sig line?

One reason is that 'newbies' do not have the Signature Option until they have 25 posts.
Of course, if you become a FTE Supporter you can have one instantly. I'm waiting for mine to show up anytime now.

But I am guilty on not noticing that someone above resurrected from the dead this old thread...
Perhaps they did so while doing a SEARCH...
