Well thats what I call a GOOD answer.

Patho44, just curious but did you find that in the factory emmisions manual, or the factory shop manual?

I know that for my 87 Ranger the pinpoint tests tests for EEC-4 codes are only in the emmisions manual & I wish I could find one for my 87.

I bought this vehicle at auction and only got one key....i finally tracked down the previous owner and got two more keys for the truck. i tried the additional keys but the theft light still blinks rapidly with no start. do i need to take to the dealer to have the pats system reset? I tried discont. and reconnect battery power, but did not help.

If you buy the Ford "electrical & vacuum troubleshooting manual." for a 99 Explorer you will probably be surprised by how easy it is to fix most of the electrical problems on your Ex.

But it looks like your only option for this problem is the-OUCH-dealer.

I dont think theres any easy way to wire around the electronic PATS garbage.
