oil filter socket
There is a seller on ebay that sells a mac tools socket that is a combo for both the fuel and oil filters I thinks it is like 36 & 35 mm it is a combo socket and sells for like 15 bucks delivered or you could just use the right size wrench. Just be careful to not overtighten it as YOU WILL CRACK THE PLASTIC CAP and do change the O-ring DO NOT reuse the old one.
There is a section on this in the 6.0 tech folder as well on how to do alot of things to this motor: here is the link for the oil filter

On our E450, the filter housing always comes loose when I use the metric allen wrench to remove the drain plug in the center of the hex, I then just hold it with my hand and remove the drain plug. After the filter drains I spin the housing off with my hand, I have never actually used a socket on it.
