97 F250 Front rotor change question

Ok, I want to replace my front rotors and I'm wondering if I have to take off the front hub. If so, what would it take to do that?

Thanks
Doug

If its four wheel drive you have to diasemble the whole hub to get the rotor off. You will need a special socket to do the job ( I got mine at Napa), their are two different ones that I know of. Depending on if you have auto hubs or manual. Kind of a pain in the butt job but if you take your time its not that hard. If its two wheel drive I am not sure what you have to do.

pound the wheel studs out with a hammer and a punch then the rotor will seperate from the hub. Put the new rotor on the hub set all the wheel studs in place and hammer and punch them back in.
