rear sliding windows??
I was wondering if anyone has taken out the side windows in the back replaced them with sliding windows if its even possible. I know they make them for some canopys and I thought about seeing if I could install a set on the bronco.would be kinda nice in the summer if you didnt want to remove the top. just a thought.

rear sliding windows??
I would like to do the same thing and have wanted to for years but only saw them on Blazers and not Bronco's. I read a post somewhere here a week or so ago about someone doing it but sounds like it had something to do with a travel trailer window or something like that.
If I find it, I'll get back with you.
It would be great if someone actually sells replacements rear side windows though.
See ya,

C.R Laurence has a warehouse here in the Seattle area. I called them and was directed to call a local auto glass shop (Laurence is wholesale only).
Called Speedy Auto Glass - was quoted only $262.00/PAIR
for the windows. I could install them myself, or they will install them for $70.00.
Part # for the 89 Bronco is MSS-909 and the lead time was 1-2 weeks.
Once the stinkin' rainy season is over (sometime around Memorial Day ), I'll be putting them in.

I found 2 trucks with them in junkyards (an 81 & an 83) and bought both sets. I rebuilt them both (even had the frames powdercoated so they look new and had the glass tinted) and installed a set in my truck. You can see them in this photo album:

Finding the replacement felts was a PAIN!!!!!!

How much luckier could I get???? I drove home from both wrecks, and the Ricer didn't even leave a mark!
JCW sells some of the gaskets, but not all. I had to scrounge 'em up & reuse a couple. The big rubbers are totally obsolete - you can't get replacements anywhere. So is the glass, but you can occasionally find NOS. I'm missing one catch so if you see one...
