Patapsco's Frozen

I took my dog for a walk today along the old railroad bed down in Daniels along the Patapsco. The river is about frozen solid. There was tracks in the snow on the ice but I was not very adventurous. There wasn't another soul in sight, and I'm not fond of making the 6 o clock news! I'm going back down there tomorrow, i'll take the camera with me and take some pics to share.

http://www.trainweb.org/oldmainline/omld4.htm#top Here is a website I found some time ago. Gives a good background to the history of the Patasco valley. It still amazes me that back then alot of this work was done by hand.

I like this area, just a little too crowded....Love the water though...The roads around here cant handle all the expansion that has occured. I never understood why they didn't put proper interchanges off 100.

How about the great major interchanges? Rt 10/ 100? Accident waiting to happen (and they do). Why no cloverleaf at I-97/I-695? Turn right to go left??? and stay left to go right?? How screwy is that? I'm sure the state road designers said..."Well, as long as they are only paying us minumum wage, let's REALLY mess up their roads!"
