I like the front end, and except for the TV screen, the dash looks nice. and actually the rear doors and back of cab look okay. other than that. no thanks
Another truck with a boring gray interior loaded with hard plastic. That plastic will start squeeking within a few thousand miles.
Whatever happened to truck interiors? Everything today is either gray or tan. Or a fugly mixture of both.
Modern cars are exactly the same, but do you want to go back to bugundy velour and fake burl walnut? There is no way they can go back to body-color painted sheet metal, as much as I would like it.
My 1988 Ranger XLT was a fine example of velour seats with fake wood dash.
The 1971 Chevy C10 had a totally functional metallic green sheet metal dash. The vinyl seat and plastic parts were GM "neutral gold". I'm not sure we are willing to go back to that.
This is definately an improvement over the 05-07 model. The front end looks better and the interior (while not breath taking) is an improvement. This truck has hints of the 97-04 Dakotas and that's definately not a bad thing.
BTW - What does Ford have planned for the Ranger? Why is there no 4 Door version yet?
Puzzling why Ford lets a product get stale like they have with the Ranger.
hey man, tha K car was one fine piece of automobilia.............. what did you think i was serious? i'll give it commuter car props though, just not very fun

The only thing the K cars remind me of are how gullible the
American car consumer is.
That snake oil salesman, Lee Iacoca, would stand in front of
an American flag touting the all-American K-car and at the same
time bash Japanese cars.......not mentioning one time that nearly
every K-car had a Japanese/Mitsubishi motor in it.
97-04 Dakotas were the best ever IMO. All the others before and after look like crap.
I'd definitely take one over a Ranger, S series, or Tacoma anyday. My father's 01 X-cab 4x4 with the 4.7 manual is a great driving truck with a ton of power.
