Where can I find my PATS module?

Working on installing a remote starter, I have a PATS bypass but I'm not sure where to find it so I can wire my bypass? For remote start I have to wire to my tachometer, can I just wire it to one of my ignition coils?

NOTE: This vehicle is equipted with PATS (Passive Anti Theft System). Use DEI module 555F to over-ride during remote start. *1 Tach wire: On the 4.6L go to any of the 8 ignition coils and use the wire that is not red/green. On the 5.4L it is a lt. green/white at the coil on the passenger side of the motor between the fuel injectors. *2 The keyless module is located high in the drivers kick against the firewall. *3 One of two. The wire is in pin 11 and it is next to the black/pink wire. Test with a digital multi-meter ONLY, to keep from damaging the circuit tied into the other lt. blue/white. *4 The cruise control module is on the driver side fender. *5 The GEM in this vehicle shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period, to 'wake-up' the system refer to directfax document #1093.

The pats box is on the driver side not exactly sure probably in the kick panel.
Hope this helps!

Mdelano (Marc), Thanks for the great reply. Wealth of info! I'm printing this one and adding it to my manual. Thanks for asking the question, Eagerinsight.
