Hello High Plains

Hello from Hardin, MT

I'm fairly new to fte and just happened on this forum. I really enjoy this site and like to hear guys that like Fords as much as I do. I always had Ford vehicle except for a CJ 5 once.

Howdy from Kalispell. You gonna join the Drifters? One of these years, we may try starting a Montana chapter.. or four of them. The state's too big to try for one successful chapter. That's kinda why this one is so slow for posts, etc. Too much territory to be a great and successful chapter, with meets and everything like the guys in the smaller states.

We'd still happily welcome you aboard. Just click the join now link on the main forums page.

I just had a reply from Ken saying that if I can round up 4 more guys we could start a Montana chapter. (That was in the Idaho chapter forum under "I like to be first")

Anybody else want to give it a try?

I'll try to help ya out Tim. But I still think Mt needs four chapters. It's been more than thirty years since I've seen the southern part of the state and as for my finances, it'll probably be another 30 before I get down there for a meet.

Montana is, what.. 2nd in size to Alaska or Texas? Or third? We cover a lot of territory. But..wait a minute... I've already bought drifters clothes..I can't switch now!!!

And someone else can perhaps help with a logo. My drifters logo ran everyone off, I think. ROFL.

Anyway, we'll see if anyone else reads this. But I think ya ought to start another thread here or in the general chapter chat forum. Get more attention.

If you can get the state done, just set up regional chapters, rather than separate. I don' have the how, but just getting members participating makes a world of difference. The Iowa chapter goes in spurts... the Missouri Chapter is really taking off though, but they like to tease and have fun with each other, just doesn't happen to be my style of behavior... but it does definitely work to get activity and participation...

I'm going to start another thread about this chapter thing....here in the drifters...to help decide where the regions ought to be designated. I have a map printed out, but as feedback comes in, I'll post it with the regions specified as a starting point.

I personally don't want to see it split up. We have very little participation and splitting it up isn't going to increase activity, not to mention the increase in workload for people that now have to monitor individual chapters.
