Gonna build a 79 F 250 6.9 diesel 4x4. Is there anyone in NB that gives a damn?Pretty dead around here for a province that was supposed to be on the leading edge of technology. Murray

Theres a guy here in Sussex with a 7.3 IDI in a 79, he also converted it to a dually and added the dually fenders, its not the cleanest but still pretty well done.
I'm amazed at the response. I've got the 3 trucks gathered up and the details worked out. 79 F250 4x4 with rear frame rusted off. 76 F250 4x4 with narrow rear frame and 83 F250 diesel 2 wheel. I am in BC and it is all in NB. I am going back in July to start at it.I will cut the rear frame section off the 76 and the 79 and splice them right behind the cab where they are the same width. I'll use the backend off the C6 and 205 and swap it onto the C6 on the diesel. Gonna use the Dana 61 with 3.07s and install 3.07s in the Dana 44 hp for the front. That should be enough rambling on for now.

I'd like to get a look at that. I figgered with the 76 rear section of frame I would have room for duals and chains also.
Hows the bodies on the 76 & 79. The only box difference is hat a 76 would not have a fuel door. Right? Personally I am a fan of the 76 grille compared to the 79, but as they say Every man is his own.

Haven't got a box yet.I'm considering getting a fiberglass one from US Body Source. I like the 79 grill because of the square headlights. This summer I will concentrate on the chassis.Gotta get a couple of lock rites and put 3.07s in the front. I'll run the old 83 with the 6.9 in it for now and put the Dana 61 and 307s on the 79 when I scrap the 83.
Oh yeah. I'm looking for an old 203 tramsfer case off of a C6 suitable for building a doubler. I don't care if the chainsection is worn out or missing. Just need the front range box.
