IS or has anyone seen the overhaulin episode where they did the 56 F series school bus for John Force? It was pretty cool.

 

I'll say!!It was cool.Whow----I love 56s and I never thought FOOS would be overhaulin a school bus!!!!Kevin BIGWIN will love this!!!Right up his alley.Probably -he is looking for one of these buses right now!!!ha ha!!I wish I had a set of wheels for my 56 F600 llike those on the show.Gave me goos bumps when I first saw it was a 56.But did you see the dash?Looks like a 55 speedometer instead of the 56 style.Must be a left-over or for some reason they put them in buses in 56.There was a 50s bus on e-pay not long ago.Goes to show our 50s trucks are worthy of men like FOOS,and JOHN FORCE!!!!

Interesting with the 53-55 style dash... I noted that the one on ebay as few days also had the the same and claimed to be a 56 as well. The owner said he would send me the VIN - if he does prehaps we will solve this mystery.

 

Nice job, but I really am disapointed that Overhaulin is starting to do these "celebrity" vehicles. It's not likr JF can't afford to pay to have his bus done. I get real tired of the phone(y) pranks but I am happy for the people who really deserve or wouldn't otherwise be able to resurect a special meaning vehicle. If they are short on vehicles to use, I know where there is a "very deserving" 56 panel they could do.

I agree also. It would also be nice to see more vehicles from other states. The majority of them are from California.

 

Yes..I too hate the celebrity builds and the stupid pranks. I like to see deserving people with real attachments to their vehicles get them done.

People with money dont need their vehicles done. Let's see CNN, John Force, Lance Armstong, who else has enough cash to pay Chip Foose to build their vehicles?

That bus is so cool. I tivo'd the program so I can watch it a couple of times. The final yellow looks a little too orange to me though. I would love to have a school bus, but I have no room. There was one available a few years ago here in Norcal. But, I had to pass. Thanks for the thread. Jag

 

I don't care who they did the bus for, it's neat. Unfortunately my wife had me wrapping presents and I had to watch from the other room with much interference. Bad thing is I did not have TIVO on. Looking forward to seeing it again.

 

I suspect that his new found celebrity has put sugnificanty higher demand on his time that he can no longer travel to other parts of the country to do builds. Maybe they should lease a cargo plane to go and pick up the cars and fly them back to his shop. I bet there are a lot of SoCal guys that are surprised after a week to find out their cars were REALLY stolen, not overhauled!
