I have seen them done. It would be a custom job, find a good welding shop if you are not comfortable with doing the job yourself. You will also be adding a bunch of weight to the tongue, so the axles might have to get moved. You will also have the GVWR to contend with. The trailer will be heavier, it won't be able to carry as much. It might be more cost effective to sell the current trailer and buy the one you want.

there is a company that made a bolt on conversion a few years ago, but i can't remember their name. might try searching the web. it was kind ok expensive though. probably easier and cheaper to sell bumper pull and buy similar gooseneck.

Yea I agree the trade in might be the best bet for a newer gooseneck. I just hate to take the loss on the trailer. Might keep it for a few more years then go that route.

IMHO I'd trade the bumper pull in on the goose rather than converting. If they won't give enuf on trade then keep it or sell outright. Trailers are like trucks and tractors....can't have too many

I have three trailer the shortest being 24' the longest 38'. One more trailer and I will have to park one on top of the other. Summer is no big deal but winter with 35' of snow becomes an issue plus I have shoveling all those trailers. I'm heading to Cal this summer so I will look around. 2009 I am looking to purchase a Skid Steer so maybe get that and a gooseneck at the same time while down south.

The other problem I see with simply adding a gooseneck hitch is that the axles are placed different on the two hitch designs, so you wouldn't gain anything in how it trails. Just more weight on the front... I would be concerned about a bolt on setup...
