The ninth vehicle identification number digit is a VIN accuracy check digit, verifying the previous VIN numbers. This is how the check digit works

We have a few bugs still left to iron out. Ford's literature conflicts for some items, we have missing data for others, etc. VIN decoding can get quite complicated when you have one decoder that works for almost a 60 year spread!
Also, as time goes by it will expand to cover more lines. Ranger/Bronco data is limited in it, Econoline isn't covered yet, etc.
