Welcome to the Ga chapter. Sounds like a great truck. Those 79s are actually my favorite even though I love my old 70. Sounds like you got alot of time, money, blood and sweat in yours. It would be nice to go for a ride in it some day.

thanks 70blue and yes a lot of time and blood and more blood and then oh yeah more blood those motor mount bolts are a b@#ch sometimes the actuall history of the ride is even more intresting though i actually helped my best friend build it about 5 years ago after i had traded him a fox body stang for it and then his situation changed and he decided he didnt need a project any more and told me i had first dibs on it and so here we are now ...so now im doing the finishing up on it but im always finding something else to do to it

I here ya. My little 302 is running a little rough right now. The old points dizzy is wore slap out along with some other minor problems. As 3bc said it will pull you to the seat but I miss the days when it would pin you to the seat. My old truck is held together by rust so I think I have decided to swap in my 460 to make it a proper beater work truck. I plan on freshening up my 302 and finding a little ranger to drop it in to use for my running back and forth truck. I got lots of projects in mind but wheres the time. I will get it there.
