Any hunters in the bunch?

If so, how have you made out?

I had a chance at a real nice 3 point mulie, but let my buddy have a chance at it since he has never got a deer, but he got buck fever on it and never shot. So he goes out 4 days later and for his first deer takes a non-typical mulie, 15 points on one side, 8 on the other, outer spread of 31". The taxidermist thinks it will score around 220. Archery season opens next Sat so I will go out then. I gotta get some meat in the freazer, I am down to 1 pack of hamburger and 2 roasts. And my daughter's eating habits takes after her dad

I used to hunt quite a bit. I would go on a annual moose trip then hunt deer locally, but sadly I can't find the time anymore. Luckily my brother and nephew share their catch. My brothers friend just shot a mulie 36 inch spread, can't close your hand around the antler base. Taxidermist told him to report it to B&C but he dosen't want to report the area they hunt in. Did you see the email going around with the albino moose??

Ya, I saw the pics of the albino. Can't say that I have ever seen one in the boonies.

36" spread is unreal. I would keep my mouth shut too. Let me guess he eiterh got it near Zippermouth Creek or he got it in the ribs

I am sure you had some big whitetails bak there in Sask preppy. One day I will make it out there. I got a wall with a whitetails name on it.

Right now it is -25 here, so I think it is a little cold to be taking out the bow. I will wait until next week.

Let me know when you decide to head out to sask. My father loves to go hunting and would take you out in a second. He likes meeting hunters from different places so he can go where they hunt too!

It is a done deal. I am due for a trip next year as I have been a good boy the past two seasons with our 1 1/2 year old daughter. Right now it is either Sask for a whitetail or Yukon for a caribou. Oh, the decisions.

Thanks for the offer preppy. I will definitely keep it in mind.

Caribou would be awesome to hunt for too. Would be quite a trip heading all the way up to the yukon.

It is not too far for me, around 12 to 14 hours to Whitehorse in the summer, then around another 6 to 8 from there to the happy hunting grounds.

Reminds me of driving back to sask. Takes me about 18-20 hours to get there.
