Overall length of extended cab trucks

The Super Cab 8 ft bed overall length 80-86 is 230.3 inches. Actually it seems to me that could vary slightly because you bought different rear bumpers, most were heavy sheet metal, painted or chromed, which dent or bend readily....or as I did I got a HD bumper....welded steel plate with "non-slip" grid on top...it doesn't dent or bend...within reason. Around here, they have the dealers name carved out on the left side and the city/state on the right side.

The reason I'm asking is for legal issues while hauling a LONG gooseneck. Here in the great OH!(IO!- go bucks!) we have a limit of 65 overall feet with trailer and tow vehicle and 26,000 lbs GVW if you're towing as non-commercial. If you exceed either you need a CDL. Well my gooser is 48' if you include the neck (4 or so feet of which overlaps the truck) so the tow vehicle needs a length of 20 feet or less. (reg cab trucks are ok but i need something to haul the doggies too ) I was looking to upgrade haulers but the crew cab i was gonna buy is too long (i think) and i don't wanna push it that close. So i guess a supercab it is . I suppose i could always go with a crew cab short bed out of the late 70's. My trailers GVW is low i haul two trucks with it it's 14000 or 16000 so I need to have a 3/4 ton truck to stay below 10000 gvw for the truck.
