Let the liein' begin!

So how has ya'lls deer huntin' gone? I'm on cloud nine. Seen deer everytime I've been in the woods and taken three, doe, spike(oops) and a nine pointer. The spike had small spikes going straight back kinda like they where laying down. I don't feel real bad about the spike because we are covered up in them!

66 POJ welcome to the GA chapter and congratulations on your deer harvest. Sounds like you have done pretty good this year. Unfortunately I don't have anything to tell the truth about or lie about because I have not been able to go in several years. If I keep seeing tracks within ten foot of my yard that might change. I am tempted to get out my bow and hunt some of these city deer. The property behind me is getting tore up I just have not been able to locate the landowner. Still working on that though.

Its kind of crazy the strips of woods here are very small. The property behind me is only 2.6 acres of woods backed by a huge field surrounded by woods. I never would have dreamed a deer would do more than pass through. In the past they never did. Nowadays it appears to have a sustainable population even approaching nuisance level for folks with gardens. Even have rubs within 15 foot of my backyard.

No dear yet. Have seen some but nothing for the wall yet. I did see a black Panther while hunting down near Sylvania last week.

Well I did not take anymore deer after Thanksgiving. My total was 6, A nine pointer, 1 dang button head, and 4 does. I kept 3 for my freezer and some family members got the rest.

Only 2 1/2 months till Turkey season! WWOOOHHHOOOO!

Hopefully I'll have my motor back together for my truck in time. Otherwise I'll have to take the Stang to the woods.
