Hello fabian and welcome to FTE.

Do a google search for "dfkelly42 ford" that will get you an e-mail address for 97fordf150, Don Kelly who has excellent instructions that he will happily e-mail to you. Good luck!

I too need to do the heater core on my 98. The manual I have says that the A/C needs to be discharged and disconnected, then the dryer has to be replaced and the system recharged. Is this true?

You're welcome fabian. Let us know how it turns out for you.

eeyore150, I have not performed this job myself but, I see nothing in the instruction sheet about that and if I remember correctly, this subject has come up before. The AC does not need to be dealt with at all.

Thanks for the help! I just got done with mine. Took about 10 hours. I used this post as well as

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...-pictures.html

I also changed my instrument panel lights that have been out for years!

It sure would have been more difficult if I hadn't found this forum.

P.S. I didn't take my entire dash out!
