6050 is the generic number for cylinder head. 81A indicates that it was designed in 1938.

Specifically that cylinder head was used on 38-42 trucks, although it could have later been put on a flathead of other years.

Kevin,

Are you trying to corner the market on all the flatheads in Ohio? I was going to bid on the one on ebay in Sidney, but now I can't since you were so nice to me.

Good luck

Go ahead if you want it just tell me if you decide to back off for some reason. I tore apart another one today. It is a 59AB. I just buy them if the price is right. If you need any of the parts mentioned before just let me know. I get bored so I need something to keep me busy.

Just giving you a hard time. It would be a 13 hour drive each way for me to pick it up. I just thought it was funny to see you there. Being in MN really sucks when it come to this stuff. All the good deals are too far away to make them good anymore. That means that we pay more for junk around here (of course that is if they even know what they have -- there is one flattie on ebay in MN the guy says its a '46 but it looks like an 8BA to me).

There is a 59ab locally that the guy wants 500 for, but for that I can get a running 302. That might be what I ultimatley do. I don't know that I want to drop 2g into the 8ba for my '46 truck when the 302 is just as wrong.

I am definately going to pay attention to all of the junk field cars out there from now on. Even if the body is total junk I should make sure the motor gets saved.
