Cool Firestone Eden prairie Mn

I took my truck in to have an alignment , cause it needed it really bad, The pass front tire was way off and was sticking out still when was supposed to be straight. I pick up my truck 3 hours later and pay my 80.00 and go to drive home. I get out and look at it and they did nothing.. The tire was still way off ballanced and nothing has been moved just like i left it. So i call the manager ( ***) Who then procedes to tell me that there was something wrong with it thats why they couldnt do it and but he didnt know what because the guy has already left, possibly he said because the rust he says and i would have to wait till monday ( this was fri) because the "man" is gone .sunday I did it my self no probs, its not perfect but at least my tire isnt sticking out the wrong direction. MONDAY ....So whats wrong.. so I get the guy who worked on it.. he says , becuase its lifted . (only four inches) and it's because of my gear box leaking like a siv! which it does but thats on the drivers side, then he tells me also because of the drop pitman arm, and because " somebody put u joints in the front end"! WTF! But remember they chargeed me for the job already. so its going back in at there expense on saturday, but they still dont know if they can do it,, it shouldnt be hard now ,, all the tough **** is already done! I just cant believe it! any thoughts on this?

They should still be able to set the alignment correctly. That sounds like a **** and ***** VW stealership response (I know, my daily is a Passat). If they dont fix it im sure you can take it to Leightons garage or Courtney Truck Service on highway 62 in Eden Prarie.

American Goodyear in St. Louis Park is my garage of choice. I have been going there for the last 9 years, and they have always done right by me.

Aditional

Aditionaly, a day or two after i got my truck back I started hearing grinding noise comming from the rear. Thought it was a wheel bearing again. So i parked it for a few weeks. (last time the axle came out while driving it). So i decided to check the alxle. Inside the pumpkin was a nice little round rock... Im pretty sure i know where it came from

They can align it with a lift. I did a 08' F-250 last weekend at work with a new lift(done the day before). At least a 6" lift(this thing was a solid front axle with everything from the back of the cab to the front new for the lift). I had to take the 37" tires off because our alignment heads wouldn't fit, and put his stock tires on. It does make it alittle harder to keep the steering wheel straight, it tends to wander. But they can get it into spec at least....

you SHOULD always be able to align a truck with a lift kit, considering you use all the parts that come with the lift. you need to keep correct geometry of your suspension. As far as i can tell the only way they cant do an alignment is if you have a broken/bad tie rod-end, ball joints shot, and or some other related bushings that can affect an alignment job.
