She's not anything special yet, but she did start life as a 2wd. I got really tired of getting stuck in wet grass but really liked everything else about the truck, so decided to do the 4wd conversion. Fairly painless process with the help of the FTE here. The truck does what I need to for right now, but there are some issues with the front end that need to be addressed. Nothing that can't be fixed with an SAS, 6" lift, and 35s.

its a 3/4 ton but i think it mostly applies. theres too much to list, more than i can remember so i am gonna jot down what i can

hydro assist steering, dual batteries for winch, winch, removable doors, lost the bed, F150 rear leaf springs with 2 leafs removed in the rear and F250 rear springs in the front mounted via home built shackle reversal, shackle flip rear via sky brackets, D60 swapped in front, welded front and rear diffs (cheap lockers), twinsticked NP205, axle vent tubes run in the cab

i take my bronco on a couple trails here and there, dont think its really heavily modified or anything. its a 78, and the straight axle has treated me well.

My 79 Bronco is a half ton just like the F150.

It's not done yet, but what I can afford for now.
400 w/headers, 6" lift, locked up front and rear, 4.56 gears, and 36s.

I have more mud pics in my galleries.

mine doesn't count as a trail rig or a rock crawler, and well it doesn't really look like a F150 anymore either even thought thats what the frame and drivetrain started life out as, but ranger body, shortened frame, and shove in a slightly built big block and viola instant offroad vehicle.

That's exactly what I'd like to do with my truck one day! Extra interior space with the maneuverability of a short wheelbase.
