vacuum gauge.....

i just got an old vacuum gauge(mile-o-meter) off of ebay.... where do i need to run a vacuum line from? i am sure i need to T off from somewhere, but where? i have a 68 f-100, with a 360 and a 2 barrel carb.... but i am asking on this forum because i am hoping someone here may have used one on an older vehicle.... the gauge is from the 40's. thanks, tony

I've got one in my 60 F-100 panel with a 5.0. It's plumbed into the vacuum port in intake behind the carb that provides vacuum to the automatic transmission.

Any vacuum port at the base of your carburetor is a good source for engine vacuum. If there is not an unused one, you could use a plastic T to tap into a hose.
