Showing up at an FTE meet in a Jetta would just be shameful.
Lexington is a pretty good location... for venue, how about Jimmy's BBQ? They don't cook with wood but it is danged good... probably the only non-log burner that I'd recommend. And importantly, they are right off I-85 and have lots of parking.

well my truck is very driveable it is just running rough and smelly. I gotta nip a vaccuum system leak behind the AC/heat controls, adjust the carb and possibly set the timing. Between those three things I think I should be in very good shape.
At the very least if I fix the leak maybe someone at the meetup can help show me how to do the other two things while we're there?

Smelly and running rough...no prob...lol Hey Swamp! were all just normal people here. Mine uses a bit of oil, and will fog out mosquitos if its hot and not been started for an hour or so. For about the first minute or so it runs really rich.
Vaccume, hey we can help ya with that. Depending on how it all goes...we could possibly bring it here and stick it in my shop in the AC and dig around. unless its top is too tall. I think my door is 8 feet tall. I have a large yard too..lol
Im game for it. the only ting I dont have in the shop is seating and TV.
