I am looking for a source of filters for final filtration of WVO. I also would like to find a dessicant for drying BD.

 

A filter for what type of base? I use Napa spin on's on my Vormax. Will get the part number if you need it.

 

Are you talking after you have filtered through some sort of bag filter. Say from from there to your storage tank.

I use two of these inline Goldenrod Standard Fuel Filter — 3/4in. Fittings Northertool Item# 170305

I also us one on my pump that I fill the truck with. So my WVO goes through a Bag filter and three of these Goldenrod filters and then through the Vormax filter .

Maybe over kill. But filters are cheap insurance.

McMaster-carr has bag filters down to 1 micron.

Part Number 5162K73 is the 1 micron unit i use.

The woven handle sometimes break. I've had one out of maybe 20 break.

 

It sounds like every one running WVO is using a bag filter.
Why can’t you use a cartage filter and pump thru it?

I don't use WVO, but I can tell you that the initial filtering of the oil will fill a cartage type filter in a heart beat. I convert to biodiesel and filter it before going into my reactor and there is alway lots of gunk in it, way more than any cartrage filter could handle before becoming plugged. The Bag filters give you a large area and way to despose of the extra without having to replace it after every 10 gallons.
