First time looking at waste oil fuel need advise.

Hey guys,
I'm looking at getting a Waste Vegtable Oil fuel system from Grease Car. I was just looking for some good honest opinions. Is it worth it? What kind of milage can I expect to get? What kind of effect does it have on the engine and is it hard to install? I would really like some info from people who have alredy tried it before I make up my mind. thanks

Check out the sponsor at the top of this forum. Scott is a contributer to this forum and uses WVO himself. Personaly I make biodiesel but I've looked at the different WVO kits out there and IMHO the PlantDrive kit that Scott sells is better than the rest.

Thanks Fab. Scott, Erick neither name is as memorable as Fabmandelux

mileage on WVO is irrelevant since it's free who cares. I track my mileage a bit differently. I see how many miles I can go on a tank of diesel. mile per purchased gallons MPPG.

I had to fill up today, I haven't done that since 14 April.. So after 1455 miles I had to buy 22.8 gallons of diesel. That works out to 63.8 MPPG.
I have a spreadsheet on my web site that shows my savings.

Since I started switching over sooner you can see the last three tanks have all been over 1000 miles.

As for Grease car and there kits. All I can say is I got an email from a Grease car installer just yesterday. He wanted to try one of our 6.0 kits since he was not eager to install a Grease car kit on a 6.0.

With our coolant and electric heat combination, and the fact that Ford made a great heat source for us called the PSD with the fuel rails in the heads, you have a great a setup that can't be beat.

There is nothing funner then running a 6.0 to red line on WVO. You go like a bat out of hell and it's virtually free.
