Off-Roading in Wisconsin
Just wondering if anyone here has been to McCasslin Mt. Campground or the "pipeline" in northern WI. They're near Crivitz in a town called Athelstane. McCasslin's is a blast with miles & miles of trails and mud holes like you wouldn't believe. I've never been to the pipeline but would like to go this year.
This Memorial Day weekend is our first weekend there with our new trucks so it should be pretty exciting.
Anyone else tried these places?

Off-Roading in Wisconsin
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 31-Mar-02 AT 07:38 AM (EST)]We spent alot of time rafting on the Peshtigo River. Stayed at a campground in Athelstane, but I don't remember the name. I might be interested in the 'wheeling adventure thou. If you have the time try the rafting thru Kosirs. It's not as wild as a guided trip in other states but it does keep you interested. Lots of sand in that area so be ready to wheel thru that s##t.

Kosir's is only a few miles from McCasslin's. My friends have been rafting there several times, but I keep missing the trips. We might do it this summer. I don't know the campground name either. Is it the one right across the road from Kosir's?
As for the sand, there are a few "pits" you can go through if you want, but there's not too much on the trails. It's actually really nice.
We'll be there Memorial Day weekend. Campsites #46-47.
