2004 6.0 FX4 Crew Cab Towing Capacity
This may have already been answered, but I could not find it. Does anyone know why the Crew Cab FX4 has such less 5th wheel towing capacity than the other cab models or the crew cab without 4x4?

its due to the extra weight/potential weight of passengers and cargo in the cab, makes up the difference per ford dealer.

The difference comes from the gear ratios, with a minor difference in the cab configuration.
