Question PVC plumbing an issue?

I see alot of guys using clear tubing and hoses and steel, copper,or galvanized valves. Can I use pvc plumbing as well as pvc ball valves for some of my stuff. I want to use the clear for other parts but im looking at the cost savings to use pvc. Fab? Firerooster? Anybody?

I wondered too.........so last year I used a bunch of it and have had no problems. The new 300 gal processer I'm now building will be plumbed with it. I did use schedule 80 tho [ thats the gray stuff].
