Where do you get it though, i want to make a test batch, to show my dad how easy it is and that I can do it, then move up to small scale production. Im not asking where to buy it in bulk, I can just order it from a chem company or sumthin, but what could i use to make a test batch? I know theres drano, but its not just NaOH and i want to do this right. For methanol im just gunna use heet gas line antifreeze, but i dont know where to get the NaOH

here's a picture. I've made two batches with the dr. pepper method and havn't made a dent in this bottle (18oz), that was SVO though not WVO. It says it's 100% lye, but I wouldn't be suprised if Fabman knew better. Got it for a few bucks at my local grocerie store.

NaOH is sodium Hydroxide = Caustic Soda
Both are called "LYE" Koh costs a little more than NaOH
