Your first wreck?

Ok, just got this idea. How was everybody's first wreck? Either in your vehicles (I hope not!) or in somebody else's.

I've been in several.
In 2001 my mom and I were comin' back from a car show in Dallas at night. We were in a '72 'vette, coming from one highway onto another, big looping turn that you really had to slow down for, the guy in the Dodge behind us didn't know that. Rolled us five times and we both got CareFlite'd to the hospital. The 'vette didn't make it.
Almost 2 years ago me and four of my friends were goin' to the movie in a '96 Neon, exciting off of highway 75 towards the movie, slowed down a lot, and got rear ended by another guy in another Dodge (says something about Dodge drivers), rolled three times, we all walked away from it though. His truck didn't fair so well though, after hitting us it went back out into the highway and got hit on the front fender by a tractor trailer.
Last summer I hit a brick mailbox in the Ranger, but it was a good excuse to upgrade!

And my personal favorite. When I was 8 or so, my mom and I were sitting at a light in a '92 GMC Sierra. A guy in a Honda came flying up behind us, rear ended us, went UNDER the truck, all the way, from back to front, and out in the intersection. It totaled his car, they said it woulda killed him had he not of ducked. We had to get a new rear bumper. I know, I know, it's a GMC, but man that thing is strong.

Anyways, post your little incidents here!

ok ididnthave time earlier to explain thebell rang for lunch. I was enteringthe freeway going about 45 and this guy in front of me completely stopped and I slammed on my brakes swirved into the freeway, did a 360 and was getting ready to move out of the way when out of nowhere a Lincoln Navigator going about 80 hits my right rear 1/4 panel bending my bumper out, and in the process totaling the navigator. My truck is fine, i was about to take the bumper off anyways to put my ranch hand on so the asian drivingthenavi did me a favor. It wasnt our fault but the guy who stopped on theentrance so we both had to pay for our own stuff. Man these school comps suck spacebar aint working.

I've never been in an accident on the road... but...

I had an 89 Escort that I used as a field runner. I was doin bout 45 back through the field, grabbed the e brake and turned it sideways. Hit an anthill and I rolled it twice. She landed on her wheels, so I fired er back up and away I went. Since then, It always ALWAYS ran waayy to rich. You'd have to hold it to the floor to keep er runnin or she'd choke out lol.

Yea it does... But it wouldnt get much over like 20 MPH. Left one hell of a cloud of smoke though!

Later on my buddy and I decided to have a demo derby. It was my escort against his civic. I woulda won if I wouldn't have lost the fuel pump! lol. He hit me once in the passenger door that sent the passenger seat my way, crushing the center console. Soon there after the fuel pump died. No it wasn't the switch because I bypassed it already! lol.

in summer of 2000 my buddy and i were headed back to school after getting some hardees for lunch, we were in whats now my 82 f100[i hadn't bought it from him yet], we were taking off from the intersection our light had just turned green, some stupid stupid bi*ch in a dodge neon[of course] ran the red light, she came through the intersection from our right side, my buddy i guess didnt look before he took off, our light was green so he souldnt of had to, the left side of the trucks front bumper nailed her left rear fender, the truck was only going about 10 mph it stoped in the middle of the intersection, she spun about 10 to 15 times before she hit the curb.

the wreak left the truck with a crease on the bumper and a small dent were the bumper hit the front of the drivers side front fender [it still wears its battle scars proudly to this day], it completely destroyed the drivers side of the neon, she couldnt get the passenger side door open so she ended up kicking out the window. the car hit the curb with the right rear tire it bent the rim almost all the way down it ended up about half way under the car

needless to say the truck wiped its butt with the neon, we drove it away from the wreak, the neon went to the junkyard on a stretcher. the entire drivers side of the car was destroyed, it bent the car enough that the passenger side doors wouldnt open, it spilled gas all over the street. we both hopped out of the truck unscaved and made our way over to her car, see was struggling with the doors and ended up kicking out the window before we got to the car.

everyone walked away fine from the wreak, she even had the nerve to ask why didnt you stop.

Hopefully you guys who haven't wrecked can stay that way.

Seems to be a trend of wrecked Neon's around here...

Well I have only had 1 wreck, and I have gotten hit twice while sitting in my parking spot in the Senior Lot at my school.

My wreck happened when we had an usually warm spell here in Iowa, and the ground thawed enough to release moisture, and the pavement was wet, but it didnt look slick. Well it got slick, the rear end slid to the left, to the right, back to the left, around and slid backwards at 65 MPH into the ditch, put it up on the side, but only broke the mirror of mom's 94 Mustang. Got the wrecker and pulled it out, drove it home. Thank god for the snow left in the ditch, just enough padding that it didn't really screw anything up.

Driving down a country 2 lane at 1AM with 3 fresh slick inches of powder in dad's 2001 Screw i started to slide left and cranked the wheel to the right... didn't do anything. when the fron finally caught it sent me spinning. did a 1080 and ended up in the ditch/brush. Tried backing out with no luck. pulled forward thru the trees and back around onto the road. got home and looked, not a single scratch, only thing missing was the front license plate bracket. There was a bunch of crap on it though. Dad made me use my money to go wash it off with the pressure hoses out in the cold. Not to bad I'd say. Dunno why I wasn't in 4x4... I was only going 35 too... on a straightaway...

In my truck, I rearended an S-10 at a stoplight. traffic moved about 5 feet and then stopped, but when I went to stop, I didn't get on the brakes hard/soon enough. dented my front bumper. Guy waved me off and drove away... no big deal
I also backed into a cement light post support thing. Dented my bumper, gave me a scare, and spilled my coffee, but that's it.

Been pretty lucky so far, no wrecks, but i just about had one;
I was racing my buddy back to his house, out on a back road, we were comin to an intersection, whereas he was to go strait to go to his house, and i had to turn left to follow, well the road was glare ice, i was doin about 70-75 and locked my brakes and skidded about 150 feet past the intersection, and if my buddy hadnt stopped (he was in a 94 ranger) it would been a nice collision. Of course i was in a chebby.
