Does anyone know of a conversion kit to put disc on the front I beam of econolines. I am interested in changing over for two reasons. One to stop better and two to get better gas mileage.

ok i'll admit, disc brakes do work better. i have never had any trouble stopping with the origional drum brakes, but discs would be a little better i am sure.

how will you get better gas mileage with discs over drum? just curious.

Not real familiar with an Econoline, though I would really like to find and Econoline pickup some day!!! Are they the same I-beams as the pickups?????

 

the econoline front and rear axles are strictly econoline. same width as a pickup, but wider spring spacing.

i am waiting on a reply to an email i sent on an econo conversion kit using all but 1 off the shelf part. more when i receive my answer!
