new Lightning owner!!!
hey everybody, I usually post in the F-150 part but today I bought a Lightning. its a 2000 and I know nothing about them. firsst question: where can I get replacement glass for the lower fog lights on the air dam, both are broken. they look blue in color, is that factory or has someone replaced them with aftermarket?
Also, if you have any things to "watch out for" or tips or tricks for the Lightning Id appreciate it. like I said, I know nothing about them.

Watch out for spitting spark plugs. My recommendation is to change to a good aftermarket plug like a Denso or an NGK. There are several theories as to why they blow. One, the stock plugs are defective and somehow this makes them get loose and blow. Second, Ford never torqued them properly from the factory so they get loose and blow. Third, and this is a fact, prior to mid 2002, the Ford heads only had 3-4 thread on the spark plug hole. Should have been more, especially when running boost like in the Lightning. Other than that, get a 4 or 6 lb lower pulley, chip, and a Factory Tech valve body and drive the heck out of it. Those are the best bang for buck mods.

You'll love it. I've had both the Magnaflow and the Bassani catback. The Magnaflow sounds quieter, but still has a nice tone. The Bassani sounds like a little hollow, but more like an old school muscle car. As for the intake, I'd go with one with some type of air dam on it. You don't want an open filter to the hot engine compartment.
