i only been there once and i liked it a bunch, we rented a barge, and cuised the lake for about 4 hours, after that we went fishing on the other part of the dam, the water was freezing cold and very, very, high, not to mention so clear you could see the bottom. you wont find anything like that here in sanantonio. thanks for the reply!

I don't even know where that lake is. I live between Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes way up north in the state. They are both man made by dams.

For those who drink (I don't)...its one of the few wet counties in AR (there are like 7 or 8), Baxter.

I grew up on bever lake, used to guide there as a child, parents used to own a marina out at rockey branch, great place to get striper bass. but then i moved twards central AR and started fishing up at grears ferry lake. good lake but not as plentyfull as beaver lake. but last weekend went out and cought a bunch of nice white bass. lakes here in AR are great, you just have to lear about them and learn some of the sweet spots.

No. There are 43 wet counties and 32 dry counties in Arkansas.

My source for this is: http://www.afaar.org/alcohol.htm

There is alot of good information on this page.

I have no problem living in a dry county. If I want a glass of wine or a beer or soem Crown I know my way to Agusta or Cabot or the Air Force base. I'm not **** about it but I have lived in wet counties and I like it better where I am.

OK..OK!!!!
well some times it just seems like it's only 7 or 8. when your like I am and have to drive damn near 50 miles.
But I'm not really a heavy drinker. six pack normaly go bad in my fridge before I get a chance to drink it. but on all the other stuff I just normaly stock up good on it when I need to,
SO YES I ADMIT...IT AIN'T so bad livin' in a dry county as much as it is an inconvienience when you do want some liquor and have to make that extra trip.
but anyway...........ther4e ya have it....Thanks for the info Jim.
