You poor soul! No really! That's cool. I live in Madison about 10 miles away from there. What prompted you to make that move.

My whole family lives in the NorthEastern part of the country. My parents just purchased a house with about 55 acres on East Madison Rd. As a single parent I am kinda stuck staying close to family for support.

I understand completely.

I have some friends who live on the East Madison Road.

Maybe when I get up there I'll have to look you up so we can go wheeling. I will be bringing my 78 F-250 4x4 and my 97 Explorer 4x4 is already there. I am currently "adjusting" my 78 so as not to get harassed by law enforcement and possiblly pass the state inspection.

Yup, I am still getting settled in. My son is going to school in Madison now and now I am looking for a job.
I pulled the F-250 up with a little incident in Oklahoma. I ended up snapping a rear axle on the passenger side. O-well, I replaced it with a Dana 70!!! I was able to convert it to rear disks and added a locker while I had it appart.

In Maine, you now have to have landowner permission to ATV on their property even if you have been doing so for years.

As for wheeling places, I really don't know anymore. I haven't been in a very long time.

We usually ride the ATV's on the power lines in summer (illegal in winter, impossible in spring). Most landowners don't mind if you ride their land, as long as you don't tear up anything. And the paper mills own the biggest areas with old logging roads and such, so once you get permission from them you got a whole lot of riding to do.
