Whats wrong this morning...

I thought friday the 13th was last week but it seemed to get me this morning. Backing out of the driveway going to work the front wheel fell off my car! What's up with that.

I'm like atleast I have a good excuse to drive the truck today. Get to work and pull on the door handle to get out and it snaps off in my hand. Great...been up less than two hours and have broke two vehicles.

So now when I get home from work I need to drag the car into the garage from the street on the floor jack and I guess I need to start practicing my dukes of hazzard window entry and exits to get in and out of the truck.

I know I shouldn't laugh but
Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I went through a phase a while back with my truck. Broke 3 inside doorhandles in about a month. On 2 seperate doors. But at least they are new.
What happened to the car?

that's ok to laugh because I see it what are the odds that two cars would have problems. When I broke the door handle off I just shaked my head and thought oh well what's one more problem today.

Since it was dark best I could see was that the lower ball joint broke or came out. The car dropped two times so I'm guessing it hit the cv axle and rested on it till it snapped it. The wheel was still attached to the upper joint but I could move it all around with no problem. I also had a real hard time getting the floor jack under it so I could atleast move it out of the middle of the road. I'll probably get it in the garage tonight to get a better look at it. Funny thing is that I'm having lasik done tomorrow morning so I probably shouldn't work on it incase I get some dirt or grease in my eyes.

Mike your door handles are probably pretty close to the same as I have. Did you get replacement ones from the dealer or did you have any luck at a junk yard?

I just went to the dealer to get mine. Can't remember how much they were but they weren't too bad, I think less than $20.

Unless you need the car tomorrow I'd just wait until after your surgery to work on it.

Good luck with everything and have fun.

Well I'll probably just go around and gather parts for the weekend since the truck is normally just the spare incase any of the others break down. It's sad that my truck has almost 350K miles on it and it's the more dependable than the two cars.

When I called my wife to tell her I broke the door handle she just laughed at me too.
