disc brakes
I'm no expert on 73-79 models, but my understanding was that they all came from the factory with front discs. My 69, like all 72 and earlier F100 models, has drums all around, but I have yet to see a 73+ model with front drum brakes.
Btw, my brakes aren't too bad. Front discs would be nice, but the power-assisted drums stop just fine if they are set up properly. They don't handle water as well as discs, are probably more fade-prone, and don't have that nice linear feel, but I can easily bring my truck to a quick stop if I need to.

disc brakes
well that sounds weird cause it has drum up front and its a 75. i know the engine is not stock but why would someone put drum up front if it had disc to begin with????

disc brakes
i know that the 1975 4x4 did not have disc brakes...i have a 75 4x4 with disc front, but when i tried to go get pads, they didn't exist ANYWHERE....found out later my truck was a 77, not a 75....i think 77 started discs on 4x4 models....
(it has the driver side door from a 75, which is where the VIN is, so i have a 77 registered as a 75, if that ain't screwed up)
