I'm looking for a good deal on a cummins 4bt and NV4500. I am a bit of a novice but willing to dive right into the project. I don't have alot of money. I want to make my Highboy a great daily driver and off-roader too. Many have redsponded to my post "swap". I appreciate that very much. I want to get more feed back on how to preform this swap. Where the deals are. All the componets needed. I wiil give you all a description of what I have to work with . This is vehicle-wise. I have a stock 1976 Ford F250. There is a Dana 44 up front and a Dana 60 in the rear. The engine is a 390 and I have 34" Super Swampers TSL's. I personally hate the power assist that is on the vehicle now. Power Steering is a must on the rebuild. I'm sorry to ramble. I know I don't have enough room for a 6bt because the distance from the firewall to the radiator is 37 inches. Check out FORDCUMMINS.COM lots of good info and swap kits. Riverside truck parts in Greeley has engines for about 2500.00, Also check out Klodies in denver. Its an Insurance junkyard so you can but a whole truck, and that makes it alot easier. I'm looking to do the same in mine. Check it out, Jesse.
