Ok...wrong forum but I'm a Super Duty owner and you are my brethren so I post here...

I saw a Harley 150 today at the delership and the Freakin' flame or line or whatever decals that run along the cab & box were PINK.

Was this a mistake...were they Sun Faded...Was I Stoned ?

Are they Really PINK ?

The rest of the Harley was OK I guess...except it was a Boxy 150 but PINK PINK PINK Decals ????

 

ok I just checked Ford's website & the decals look a little more reddish but I swear in real life those babys are PINK.

 

I saw one the other day and the decals ARE pink! They look horrible

 

Maybe it is a specific design for girlie guys. A Ford market segment target you know.

Although it is a Ford it is a girls truck. LOL

Well, it is true... F-150's are great trucks for women.

TWO of the girls that work in the office where I work drive F150's!

A friend of mine worked as a GM engineer for 17 years (retired 2 yrs ago). He told me that when Chevrolet designed there new 1500 series truck it was with the idea that the truck would haul groceries. Never more than a 1,000 total payload. In fact when they tested the 4 door extended cab with over 700lbs in the bed they opened all four doors and the frame bowed down enough that even when the load was removed neither of the rear doors could be closed anymore! NICE!

The decals change color in sunlight. Called a camelion paint. They can change 3-8 different colors, depending on the light. You might have seen them at a strange angle... I highly DOUBT that a HARLEY edition would have ANYTHING pink on it!

 

We have two Harley F150's on our lot and the decals are orange with a blue outline.

 

I saw the new harley at the Detroit autoshow, I was thinking pink myself... But the lady standing next to us (95 thousand people were there that day!) said to her husband. "Those pretty stripes are pink in the front and orange in the back arent they? Is the interior like that to? Its pretty." Even my wife kinda rolled her eyes.

Maybe they'll try something else next year.
