CIA=cold air induction. Essentially, you want to open up the inlet tract and Replacing the stock air box and filter, with an open element (cone type) filter is essentially the same.
Advancing the timing is easy: With the motor off, find the spout connector and remove the jumper. You can find the connector just under the cruise control servo on the passenger side fenderwall. Once you remove the jumper, you just set the timing like normal; loosent the distributor bolt, attach the timing light clamp to the #1 plug wire and start the truck. If the timing hasn't been messed with, then it should be set to 10 degrees BTDC on the harmonic balancer. Make sure it's warm when you do this.
