They can not be placed in the galleries. Movies, pictures, sound, etc stored on the web can be linked in posts like this:

Always use links for pictures, not image files that display automatically so dial-up users can use the forums easier.

Unfortunately, video and sound files use a HUGE amount of "Bandwidth". That's one of the main reasons they are not used at FTE. It would slow the server down to molasses in january speeds...
But you can load videos to putfile.com, and then post the link url. Putfile is a free webhost for media files, and some great clips from the 05 National Rally are on there!

I put the video of my truck on putfile.com Its free all you do is sign up and make an account then you can upload pictures and videos!! And then link them like this http://media.putfile.com/100_016793 This is the video i put in the 73-79 forum to say thanks to everyone that helped me with their advice. And if anyone wants to hear a 302 with longtube headers and 12" glass packs.
