Actually have something to do that pays!

Well, I'll check in as I can but my response time is going to be slower, going to be helping out at a salvage yard at Homestead. Place was closed for a week because the managemnet just took off, noone to do anything... sad part was, it was the owner's daughter and her boyfriend. So now they are starting all over, and are willing to put up with me.... Actually, a good friend of mine put in a good word for me, so I get to have a paying job of a sort. The main lot is mostly imports, but the other lot has domestics. There are a few old Fords there, mostly 70's and 80's stuff. We get to basically start over, because the inventory hasn't been updated for about a year, and they crushed a bunch a few months ago. The funny thing is this is the same lot I was hauling gas tanks from, and vowed not to go back until they got their crap together...

A-1 Imports its thae base, just east of Homestead. I don't reacall any exploders or Rangers, but I will look when I get back up there after this storm clears... It's also possible something may come in by then. I have an Aerostar if that would work for you, have to check on the what the gears are though. I had to come home to get my truck and some tools since the last people cleared most of that out too. I wiped out the front on my van with a deer, so until I get a radiator and headlight, it's basically non-functional. I managed to pull the rad support and hood out enough to work, niot real pretty, but could be worse. At least it l had one headlight left to make it home on, and the radiator held enough to go on...

Congrats Roger... I love salvage yards - if I won the lottery, I'd probably hang out there and work for free.

There is one, it's a Mazda Navajo, which was actually an Explorer with a Mazda badge, right down to the oval on the grille and the Ford on the valve covers... their phone is 828-4971, you'll get Shawn, but I don't see it going anywhere soon.

It just has not been a good wekk... I hit a deer on the way back from interviewing with the owner, and then last night coming home, I had borrowed a friend's truck, lost it on a back road, slid into a light pole and banged up my face a bit, but I walked away after hitting my head on the pole, on stitch, a black eye, and cuts on my ear, bruised and sore. And I thought I was getting somewhere by going to work!

Hey Roger... I can sympathize with you. Before I left Montana, I had gotten laid-off from my job. I wasn't having much luck finding anything decent, so I started moonlighting driving a taxi-cab. The first night on the job, I'm waiting outside a bar for my fare to come out and this kid comes flying around the corner and clips the front of the cab. He was DUI, but I still got a ticket since I was partially in a no-parking zone.... then, to make matters worse, I hit a deer on the way home that night with the wife's truck. That job ended up costing me more than I made...

Its for that 350 that we are swapping out the 307 for. The cutlass has a 200R4 in it now I believe, but he wants to swap that out for the 700R4. I think you need to carry a 4 leaf clover or rabbits foot or something roger, you just aren't having the best luck.

I think I have a 700R4 in my school bus... I'd LOVE to part it out too, but I think my wife would kill me. It's got a 4 bolt main 350 that blew a head gasket and I really don't want to be working half under that snub nosed hood and half in the dog house. What a pain in the...

She wants to take that hog of a chvy to the east coast and bring all the kids and grandkids.
