please help new guy
I am new in Alabama (Georgia transplant) and have a new 2005 F150, FTX, 2wd, 4.6, Auto - I am having vibration problems with. I am having trouble navigating Ford site.
Problem: vibration felt in steering wheel. Was around 40-45 MPH. Dealer put in new pinion/gear, shims and dampening kit. Better at 4-45, but now steady at 50 - 60. Am worried, put all my money in this truck and don't want another guy to wrench on it when it is new and - well need help and advice. Could someone please e-mail me at home address to discuss my specific problem and guide me in the right direction (I am old and not real computer savey). Love my truck, but been back to dealer twice and still have problem and need help. Home e-mail is:
rgirello@cableone.net
brother needs help - thanks

Alabama does have a lemon law. If you take a vehicle back to the dealer for the same thing 3 times and it is still not working properly, then it's a lemon.
My moms Expo had rearend noise after 10000 miles and we took it back twice before it stopped, the dealership even said that if we took it in for the same thing again and the problem still occured that we would be entitled to a new vehicle(or something along those lines)

My wife's mitsubushi had a front end noise, drove fine, just noise. After the third visit, the dealer's service manager asked for one more chance to fix it, but if we were not willing, they would buy it back. I let them fix it, and they did the next time around (bad viscous motor mount was rattling). They pretty much have my business locked up, and fortunately they are a Ford dealer as well.
