302 in a Ranger

I am thinking about putting a 302 in a Ranger. Anybody done this? I am just researching for now, I'm think about a '93 or so. Anything I really should look out for?

Ford made a 5.0 Explorer so lots of those part should work for swapping in to a Ranger other than that there are several Ranger swap kits out there try the Ranger forum.

Just FYI, Tech questions are best asked in the tech forums.

It's still a tech question.

The Chapter forums aren't for Tech questions.

Cody will move this to the Ranger forum .

Toronto or Talahassee people may need to see it as well

I don't quite have those abilities quite yet dennis , but i believe hes wanting to know if anyone in here has down this or knows where there is one so he could take a look .

Actually my dad just picked up a range that had this swap (actually aa 289), but they made the motor mounts so the oil filter would clear the crossmember, but a oil filter relocator (like 56 bucks american through summit) would've fixed this and proper motor mounts could've been used, so essentially any pictures from this would be useless. And offhand i don't know anyone else that has done this in the clagary area.

His initial post didn't mention having a look at one first hand.
He mentioned having a look in his 2nd post.

That's one reason the topic of the thread is best placed in the title right from the start.

That's all...... just specifics.

I haven't seen a 302 in a Ranger yet

There's at least one (and maybe a few) V8 Rangers down in Lethbridge,
One really sweet blue one, I think it has a 351.
