Chrome Door Handles: Putco ABS Plastic VS. TFP Stainless Steel
I'm in the market for some 'stick on' chrome door handle covers and some ebay seller selling the TFP stainless steel is saying that the putco plastic door handles will bubble and peel with the the sun after 6 months. While the person selling the Putco door handles is saying that the TFP door handles have a 'dull' finish. Has anyone had the putco abs plastic chrome door handles for more than 1 year? Any problems with peeling or bubbling? What about the stainless steel ones by TFP, do they have a dull finish? Thanks

I have the TFP handle covers for the door. Far from a dull finish. It is not brilliant chrome but not dull either. The tailgate has a ABS putco cover. It hase been on for 1 1/2 years and yes there is little bubbles starting to form. I will be switching it to the TFP. When I got all my covers, only Putco offered a tailgate handle cover so that is what I got. The TFP chrome looks "more natural". It blends in perfect with the chrome tube steps. I have the sport package so I have painted bumpers. The ABS has a very fake appearance. If the rear bumper was chrome the hadle would not have made it 5 minutes on the trucks.
I vote TFP.
