I won't do it becuase I can't get any reliable info on it. the Univ. of Missouri rpts. said no because of the high pressure injectors...said it left double the carbon deposits as reg. petro. diesel which i dont want. I believ the tested down to B20, however they, and others, reported no engine damage in IDI diesels as in the 94- although maintenance is changed and gelling can be a problem in below 40F temps. So what I'm making is currently going into tractors and a pressure washer until my wife lets me buy and older diesel.

We run the Bio in our fleet trucks and all diesel powered equipment. I dont have the ratio at this time, but will ask monday. When we first started running the Bio. We were going through fuel filters like mad. Now its normal filter service intervals. 2001-2004 fords seem to be doing ok. We have had injector failure on 2 chebys with Cat motors, now another one? still trouble shooting. Our steerling trucks with Mercedes engines seem ok so far.

I've been using biodiesel from soybeans for about 6 years with no problems except at the beginning. I have used from the B5 to B20 and have settled on the B5 for warranty purposes. I have older farm equipment from a 1967 diesel tractor to my 04 ford pickup. In all we have 7 diesel engines on the farm. Yes it does clean the fuel systems and you need a good supply of fuel filters. Yes it helps lubricate the fuel pumps especially in the older motors which are use to the high sulfur fuels. With todays fuel and the next generation of fuel to come out (next year) will be the ultra low sulfur. Most motors will need to have some kind of lubrication for the injection pumps or be torn up from the sulfur (acting as a lubricant) not being there in sufficiant quantity for lubrication.
