shaft-impeller

I am in desperate need of a shaft-impeller that is part of the fan & hub assembly on a 1949 F3 w/ the 239 flat 8.
Any ideas?

I helped a guy find one awhile back, I believe it was LMC Truck Parts that carried it. If not Let me know, and I will search back through my posts and find it. Ok, I did a search and I think I found it part #21A-8603 www.classicautoparts.com

I think the part that 51Ford fan has shown is not the part your looking for. I think the part your looking for is really the shaft that everything is mounted to. I looked for this part about 5 years ago and found two by calling junk yards around the country. I do have a spare one hanging on the wall in my shop. It is a complete unit with fan, hub and shaft. I would have to look back and see what i paid for it.
I looked everywhere for the shaft and all i ever found was part 21A-8603 hub and pulley assembly.

You are right about the part that I needed. We were able to locate the whole assembly in Kansas so I'm back in business. So nice to drive my F3 down the road!

Glad you found the part. Remember to keep it lubricated. Service book calls for putting one ounce of oil in small screw plug every 5000 miles and then turning the pully over (by hand) and draining oil out. be carefull not to let oil get onto belts. Reinstall screw plug.
