any body know how to get a permit ot make ethanol in suothern california ( San diego), there are lots of horese in my town, I can make lots of fuel out of horse manuer, I just need to get a permit first I think.

 

Huntersbo: You do not have to get a permit to make drinking alcohol for the first 2 gallons for personal consumption. I would call the local fire house and ask them about making a still for fuel. There are some definate rules about fuels in quantities over 5 gallons. Also they probably won't tell the tax man, just follow what they tell you and be safe.
