I am running late...
I just found a BBQ place I love. Q4U BBQ - www.q4u.com . 'T' can do ribs like I haven't had since I left Texas. I would definitely recommend them!

I wanted some italian and so they took me to old spaghetti factory. I don't mind the big chains so much but it's mostly all the same. It's fun to find these local places that just rock on the food and don't care so much on how fancy the place is.
David, That's ok your late. I'll keep that rib place in mind for next time. If their food tastes as good as it looks on the web site it must be awsome. The roasted pig on friday looks soo good and it isn't too far from where I work.

Way to late for the lunch thing but a really good place to eat is Pardners just off Highland Drive and around 40th south. I don't remember the exact address. Very good food and service. Prices are not bad for the quality and portions. The buffalo wings appitizer are killer.
It's not a get all dressed up kind of place but not uncommon to see anything from suits to levi's for dress.
For chinese food, nothing will beat the Magic Wok on Bangerter and 5400 S. They use fresh veggies, make up their own sweet and sour sauce thats the best I've had and large, very fair priced portions.
Those are the only places I could recommend. We don't go out much but have going to those places for years.

Some great suggestions guys….here are my two cents
If my work is paying I would go to Spencers Steakhouse……best steak you will have in SLC guaranteed. For Mexican Café Rio is not bad if you get the Pork Burrito and don’t mind a little wait. I stumbled upon a great BBQ joint the other day (makes Joe Morely’s BBQ place look like a Chilis) it is called Pats and it is off of West Temple and Commerce (just south of 2100 South). Anyways, if you are fan of BBQ you have to check this place out!!!
